Gas Dwarf – the guardian of Cathedral Isle’s gas lightings

Gas Dwarf – the dwarf sitting on the gas lighting no. 4 (according to city’s internal numbering) on Tumski Bridge. Lighting up the vintage lamp, he reminds of its particularity and over 160-year-old history of gas industry in Wrocław and Lower Silesia.

Gas lightings of the Cathedral Isle are the most beautiful symbol of this history nowadays. Since not long ago, couples in love have been attaching locks with their names engraved to Tumski bridge so that their love lasts forever. They pin them to Gas Dwarf as well, making him mute guardian of their feelings.
