Surely you noticed that during the UEFA Euro 2016 our dwarfs didn’t idle and bravely joined the group of #TeamPoland supporters? Where did the Wroclaw dwarfs watch the matches? What was the fan zone? You will learn all this from the story…
“To all the dwarfs in the city! Due to the great festival of football the dwarf fraternity has decided to introduce a state of emergency – a state of urgently joyful summer atmosphere for Euro 2016. Therefore, to our regular duties at the time of the tournament is added another one – cheering the Polish national team. Come to the General Meeting of dwarfs, which will be held at the Wroclaw Stadium. Signed – WrocLover Dwarf.”
The dwarfs received this manifesto just before the group stage of Euro 2016. After reading the telegram, all of them ordered taxi pigeons and on the backs of their winged taxi they went to the stadium. They were scattered on the suspended ceiling of the VIP area and started preparing the plan. “We are gathered here to make decisions about important events for our population. We need to share duties and take responsibilities for supporting big fans” said WrocLover. “At the beginning, we will distribute new uniforms. Silesian Dwarf, please distribute the T-shirts and scarves.”
Silesian raised a great milk carton and began to pull out of it white and red gadgets. “These are the scarves, you have to hold them with both hands over your head and shout ‘Pooolaaand – gooooaaal’” instructed Silesian. “But what for? After all, we are so small that big fans will not even notice our banners or hear our chants…” commented Sisyphers grumpily. “Good point, gentlemen. We will work hard and it will all go to nothing,” concluded WrocLover. “You know what we will do? We’ll have a picture in our uniforms and with the flags taken and we will publish them on the web!” announced an excited WrocLover. “I think we should take these pictures under the microscope,” sarcastically replied one of Sisyphers.
I nominate the following dwarfs for photos with football gadgets: Silesian (the most familiar with the matter of fan-being), the Leader (as the most involved) and … Sisyphers!” said WrocLover. Sisyphers were a little bit confused: “But how?! We were supposed to cheer, and not pretend to be models!” they shouted dissatisfied.
“Sisyphers, instead of a hard globe made of stone you will take picture with the ball. You, Leader, will have photo with the flag, and Silesian with a scarf. It will be fine, you’ll see!” proposed WrocLover.
And so the dwarfs won the hearts of the citizens of Wroclaw, supporting the Polish national team.
