Children 1 to 3 years old, one of whose parents is a student, a doctoral student or employee of the Technical University of Wroclaw, can count on low-cost care in a colorful kid’s club while their parents go to class or a meeting with their supervisor.

mSzkrab operates in the city center, near the campus of the university on Górnickiego Street. Children can spend time here from Monday to Saturday, but no longer than 5 hours per day, up to 3 times a week. Anyone with a current student or PhD student card and university employees can use mSzkrab services.

The facility is open from 7 am to 7 pm. During that time childcare takes place in two-hour blocks. Parents, however, can bring children half an hour before the main block and pick them up up to 30 minutes after the completion of activity. In total, one block includes as many as three hours of care filled with walks to a nearby park, artistic, rhythmic and musical activities, mouth and tongue gymnastics, and games supporting the development of children’s cognition and physical condition.

At the beginning, parents can count on five free visits to the club. This is the time needed to adapt to the new environment, prepare for separation from mom or dad, and check whether the child likes the facility. Blocks can be purchased individually or in bulk. One block of classes, a total of three hours of care, costs 15 zloty.

After each visit of the child to the club, a childminder sends a message from the system with information about the child: how they felt, whether they slept, whether they went for a walk, how much they ate, how they coped during activities and how they felt with their peers. Therefore, one can be sure that the children receive professional care.
