For several years, on Valentine’s Day, MPK (Public Transport) Wroclaw has been preparing additional attractions for our passengers. Traditionally, there will be special seats in vehicles marked with pictograms for those still looking for their other half, the possibility to display a confession of love on multimedia monitors in vehicles, as well as a special journey on the Love Tram.
During the ride one will be also able to complete a quiz, and take part in a competition. The prizes include books about love.
“MPK connects people, in the most literal sense. There are examples of couples, even married ones, who met on a tram or a bus. It is worth remembering these positive aspects of public transport, which can often be forgotten. Valentine’s Day is an excellent occasion to do that” says Agnieszka Korzeniowska, spokesperson for MPK. “In addition, at this time we tend to think of those who are still looking for their other half, and maybe thanks to public transport they will meet someone.”
There will be special pictograms in trams and buses – the stickers will indicate seats for people who are single. Those specially designated places can be found from the middle of this week in all Skoda buses and trams. Fun consists in the fact that the person who takes a seat marked in this manner indicates that he or she is interested in getting to know a possible other half.
Love quiz with book prizes – below the pictograms indicating spaces for those not in love yet, passengers will find a special MPK QR code or an online link to a quiz. This is a game for those who are looking for their other half online. After completing the quiz, passengers will find out what types of women / men they should avoid when looking for love on the internet.
For the 50 people who will take part in the game, MPK Wroclaw has prepared a book by Wroclaw writer Katarzyna Gubała, The guys from network, which was written on Wroclaw trams. This is how the author spent the time using public transport every day. One will be able to pick up one of autographed books of Katarzyna Gubała at the finale of the Valentine’s attractions on Teatralny Square (February 14).
Love Tram is a special tram ride along a historic route. The tram will start from Teatralny Square on Valentine’s Day at 4 pm. In it, it will be possible to meet the author of the book, Katarzyna Gubała, who will be looking for inspiration for further books. Those interested will be able to tell their stories, and the tram journey will begin at 5 pm.Początek formularza
