The ‘Enterprising dwarf’ game’s purpose was to get children interested in economy and teach them basic rules of running a company in easily understandable way. Upon participating in the game, kids learn that economic activity in Poland is not as difficult as it may seem and running one’s own business is proverbially fickle, just like fortune. Players roll the huge dice, use a giant rubber stamp, shift coins on time, roll them and performed many more outdoor activities. Over 500 children from 11 primary schools of Wrocław took part in the game. The Ministry of Economy liked our educational project a lot, awarding it the 1st prize at the Member State level of European Enterprise Awards competition run by the European Commission. The nominated projects are advertised by the European Commission i.a. through publishing their descriptions on the websites and special publications issued after the competition is completed. In May, the authors of the nominated projects are also invited to the European SME Week in Madrid, where the results will be announced.By all odds the whole Europe will learn about our dwarf!
