On Friday, May 8, at 8 pm, on the Capitol stage there will be a show performed by children, who, in collaboration with artists, have prepared a musical. It is the culmination of a project conducted by the Światowid Center for Creative Activities.
Dancing Queen is performed by artists aged 6 – 12 years old, selected through a casting, who form part of the Children’s Musical Studio. This show is the first adventure of the Światowid Center for Creative Activities with a musical. Thanks to the creators of the show, Monika Wiśniowska – Basel and Tomasz Kęczkowski, the hits of the Swedish group ABBA will be played again in Wroclaw. The story is set in an art school. The protagonists of the musical will explore their talents and, just like the young performers on stage, they will experience a great artistic adventure. Children working on the project have acquired skills in teamwork while being on stage, and also established new friendships. An additional attraction is that the young artists will also present their work on the real Pressure Stage of Capitol Theater, which supports them in the difficult art of the musical on the release day.
On the same day at 5 pm there will also be an opening of two new exhibitions at the Backyard of Capitol Musical Theater. Under the glass ceiling of the Capitol, there will be Ravens: large-format paintings and graphic works of Michał Bajsarowicz, and in One Painting Gallery – The Hollow Man II, an oil on canvas by Paweł Kwiatkowski. The painting will be exhibited on the inner façade until June 30, and the Ravens will be part of the Capitol until September 30.
Free admission for the opening. The Ravens collection was made by Michał Bajsarowicz – painter, graphic artist, sculptor. The cost of the musical is 15 PLN, tickets are available at the ticket offices of the Capitol on April 29.
