Dwarf firemen put out fires in Wrocław

The tiniest firemen came to the capital of Lower Silesia on May 15 – due to the Firemen and Chimney Sweepers Day. They keep watch from a place in the very center – next to the Garrison Church and two famous tenements called John and Margaret.

One of them holds a ladder and the other one a fire hose. No coincidence lies in the fact that they live here. Firers want to remind about the bravery of firemen who fought with flames which have three times threatened this basilica (1960, 1975 and 1976).

Figures of Firers were created by sculptor Grzegorz Łagowski.
